Since it is now clear that DM has a formula and a track record to generate a recurring revenue stream, regardless of if or when they decide to take the Markman route, what will Alan Cocumelli, Eric Polis, Fred Falk and Robert Putnam do with this new wealth creation?
Too soon to venture down that path? NO, IMO. It is critical that they have or begin to formulate a plan at these early stages. There needs to be a new vision since the vision of 1999 is now today's reality and we know how long it can take to reinvent yourself.
Investors and management need to have that open discussion...one I am sure, that will evolve over time. I hope that is a topic at the shareholders meeting.
The value of this company is not only in how much its IP litiigation will generate but also how will EDIG sustain and grow from this new found revenue source. Merger and acquisition, partnerships, new product development, growing the IP portfolio via their patent pending encryptiion technology???? All possibilities....
Guesstimating the pps and company value is not only based on IP litigation alone, although that is the driving force at this time.
