“Mining projects that reach advance exploration and report positive results from scoping level assessments (PEA), will normally move towards the development of preliminary feasibility and feasibility studies, to support investment and other decisions. In parallel, environmental impact assessments are conducted to determine the significance of the impacts of the project and support permitting decision. These studies are conducted during the development phase of the project and decisions made at this stage will determine how the construction, operation, closure and post-closure phases of the mine will be executed. “
