K, your analysis is very precise. Here is what I am leading towards after reading your post. Cliffs has a cozy relationship with KWG. As such, Cliffs is now like a big sister to KWG and will protect her and shelter her through the storm that is to come. SPQ on the other hand does not want to be little sister or little brother to Cliffs and needs to consolidate its shares to attract a big sister from somewhere else to be its protector etc. Just a silly analagy but it works for me.
