Obviously, should anyone make an offer for Poet, the cost is now hugely cheaper than it was before the financing.   The financing has cast doubt on Poet's ability to deliver the promised VCSEL, and unfortunately many under water long term shareholders now would be happy to just break even.  So if Poet's strategy for the financing was to avoid a take over, it has in fact made it easier imo.
