So many possibilities. Could it be that the engineers that have been mentioned as being needed to accelerate development will be provided by Apple with the agreement that what they develop provides them (Apple) the lead in implementation? It is a means of gaining exclusivity for period of time (18 months to 2 years approx) for Apple, while the others work to catch up. POET gets the licensing revs, the premier client, and a company motivated to get this to market ASAP.
Blevin's is here for a reason and Apple will get its due. But Ajit Manocha is not about to give away the farm. An exchange of technology for time seems a logical path, but there could be many other possibilities, many of which we have no value at this time. But safe to say that train is starting to roll down the tracks.
