I am beginning to wonder if PTK is seeking a CEO. It is now closing in on 4 months of officially looking for this position and it is still not filled. What if the sale of the company is on the table or atleast being sought after? If that were the case, PTK would not want to actually hire a new CEO and provide him/her with a large salary and options only to be purchased within a few months (or weeks). (Why should that individual make millions off their hard work). In addition, when negotiating the sale of the company, one has to give the appearance that it is business as usual. In this situation, PTK would need to appear to be prepared to take the company all the way and not show their hand in negotiations.
Obviously, this is speculation but perhaps the delay in hiring has something to do with the Ring Oscillator results. If they meet/exceed the desired results then perhaps Poet is expecting a possible buy-out and hence the delay on the new CEO hire.
Finally, I feel a sale does hold merit for these individuals. When looking at the age and position in the careers of PC, AM and GT it seems that they are all at the time in their lives when they would want to reap the benfits of their success. Anyway, JMO. Ciao.
