The act of using perceptive, analytical and cognitive skills to keenly identify an individual that is dishonest and disruptive who has the intention of misleading and harming others (aka TROLL). The “troll spotter” came into existence during the early 2000s when disinformation agents started using internet blogs to spread nonsense, fear, uncertainty and doubt (FUD)
