This is a serious endorsement of the Ring of Fire and a profound recognition of the mine potential that exists there. In my opinion, this is the most significant release since Cliff's informed the world that they were building a chromite mine there. This means the regulatory bodies and the economic developement arms of government realize that this area is more than chromite and more than Cliffs. Otherwise they would just let their current mines and energy staff deal with Cliffs. This indicates to me that government are placing a high profile dedicated person to work with all parties to bring this to fruition. Governments provide transportation infrastructure and municipal and social support in their everyday work. This suggests that with numerous players involved with the ROF, it will make political sense for taxpayer money to develope or participate in the developement of the infrastructure required. Mining creates wealth for the nation which we need. It is not a recirculation of money that occurs with a lot of government spending. There is obviously political support for the Ring of Fire and public investment.
