Re: Project Approval near?

Dutch: With the project approved I have a vague memory of company going ahead with Eagle anyway but at slower pace and lower capacity. The necessary equipment and components for mine construction they would bring in on winter roads.

Mine could operate in limited capacity, probably more limited by insufficient energy ( diesel generators?) then any thing else, stock piling metals for shipment out, again on winter roads. All the time waiting for that all season road.

Any how that is what I read way back from somewhere, however those seem like desperate measures if feasible. I say IF feasible because most mines it would not be economical, however our nickel ore's value might make it so even with these metal prices.

As you say, we are hoping. Ed.

Re: All these delays have a cost

I think Mr. Trump in spite of his talk, would continue to run things into the ground.
Your reply: 'Oh Ed give me and him a break'.
Really?.
He is known to have gone bankrupt on many of his projects.
He also while lamb basting others for moving production off shore, he himself has given work to Chinese instead of Americans. I call that hypocrisy.

On the other hand I, and I presume many on this forum, would have told our Mr. Trudeau to not throw just yet money on native communities which provide no return on investment, BUT spend it on projects that provide return in the form of taxes and with the same sweep stimulate economy.

Once those taxes come in he could afford to have a more balanced budget and spend those delayed dollars on projects that have no return but are necessary based on need.

You have to earn, or produce, money before you go out spending. Otherwise you'd go into debt and as result pay more than you bargained for.

Just a comment from the peanut gallery. Ed.

Re: Drill results...

I remember past results taking typically two months from start of drilling to results being provided to company. Not to mention period of time that company could hold before releasing the info.

If that is still true then for news to be available today the drilling would have to been done in early November. Drilling occurs when the ground is well frozen. Was not this autumn fairly warm into november? Am using southern Ontario weather as an indicator.

Re: Leader List

Tequilarose, the list has not been updated for years. There are people on it that we have not heard from for
just as many years.
IMO:
Anyone who has not visited for one, or at least two, years should be removed from it.
Not that I have anything against them, but being on the list implies a responsibility of stewardship of the forum
and not visiting means an abbrogation of that privilege.
Sooo, members who are active, respected and willing should replace them. And the list should not go into infinity
but perhaps the top ten or a dozen.

You have my vote, number 39. Yes that means not just the recommendations of the posting BUT we need to vote the 5
stars just below the Score. I think the quialifications are a combination of Points and Score. Note, even I do not
qualify with 37000 + 3.3 average so you have long to go.
Have a marvelous year, Ed G.

Some reflection on past years for the present

= Torture by many small cuts.

By that I mean the numerous wishes that Noront releases some favourable news by yesterday if possible. Such
wishfullness does no help any, but only deepens our common melancholy regarding our shares.

Does anyone here think that our directorship (Allan) is sitting on some news and not wanting to deliver. I think,
absolutely not.
Does anyone think that management has some power to pull a rabbit out of a hat. Again, I doubt it.

They as us are waiting for governments and natives to get on the same page and write us our expected news. Wishing
it into existance only hightens our expectations and disappointment.

Re: OT:Essar Global can't buy steel mill: Cliffs-NOT OT-deal done

Dutch: No conflict of interest involved with Baosteel taking us over. Which is the most likely scenario, imho.
I think they are waiting for the gates to be opened by governments and natives. With no road, no mine and no possibility of railway to the Ring they are on hold regarding buyout.
