<"The new resource additions originate from an area previously believed to be barren of
mineralization."
Does it mean the new resource additions not reported yet?>

No, I think it refers to them drilling hole 49 so they could have a good view of the then known mineralization. They drilled in a spot that they then thought would not have any mineralization and not obscure their view.

From exploration update of June 29, 2009:
"Hole NOT-09-49 was planned as a 1,000 metre platform hole for BHEM survey evaluating the depth extension of the Eagle One mineralization. The hole was located at the northwestern contact of the Eagle One conduit. Visual inspection suggests the hole parallels the contact between the peridotite and granodiorite for its entire length."

From August 5,2009 news release:
"Hole NOT-09-49, initially planned as a platform for borehole geophysical surveying, was a vertical hole targeted to trace the interpreted, vertical dipping conduit system that emplaced the original Eagle One discovery. The concept was to drill as close as possible to the conduit so that down-hole geophysics could be utilized to identify other potential lenses of nickel, copper sulphides."
