If you actually look at the law.....

Under 4.2(5) of the Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects, it states:

(5) ....a technical report about mineral resources or mineral reserves that supports a news release must

(a) be filed not later than 45 days after the news release; and

(b) if there are any material differences in the mineral resources or mineral reserves between the technical report filed and the news release, be accompanied by a news release that reconciles those differences.

The NR was dated July 4. The law makes no reference to the date of the documents used to support the NR. It refers to the time-frame within which the documents must be filed.
