Re: GCU: Expert Analysis

Hello. I'm new here but not with agoracom in general. This play looks very enticing..........I'm seriously considering picking up some shares, but my one concern I have is with First Nations. Are they on board with the potential of draining the lake and having a mine here? I would think that they would have a good feel for things relating to FN by now, but I don't want to just assume it either. (Too much assumption in investing is a recipe for losses.) I was terribly burned by First Nations when they blocked mine development (and permanently succeeded) of the Kemess North property with Northgate Minerals about 5 years ago because they refused to allow a lake to be used for tailings. The environmental administration sided with FN and the project was killed just like that. (The stock then took a big hit and so too did I.) Anyhow, don;t mean to scare anyone, ...I just don;t want to ever be burned by FN again. ONCE is already enough. Any definites here or indicators of major reassurance from FN? Without such reassurance I have to look elsewhere.

Re: Metallic Screening

Interesting points that you and Mrscramer bring up.

I must admit that the more complete drill results from these 11 holes will be MUCH BETTER (and represent a whole new ball game!!!!!) if she does indeed bring back the re-assayed drill results from the cores that haven't been reported yet. I never really gave that much thought until now since you two brought that up. That is awesome!!

I suspect that the naysayers and bashers are going to soon be in for a major shock if true. I must say that there must be a reason why Lloyd Brewer backed up the boat in putting so much of his hard earned money on the line (over 1.6 million shares now), and why we have not seen one share of insider selling in spite of no blackout, and also why the Chinese keep inviting us back to their palaces to "talk business", and why Lori remains so paranoid of low ball offers, and why Murry and Jeff keep telling us to hang on if you can for better times are ahead, and how easy it was for them to get these very "high profile" directors, and why the Quantec results "light up the screen" at the Tesoro property. Lori states that the system is mineralized to depth, perhaps she means that the system is continuously mineralized to depth. Obviously it is hard to draw concrete conclusions if indeed they just gave us intermittent samples of the drill cores .............but if so then these core results are not only incomplete but can easily be interpreted as being EXTREMELY POSITIVE rather than the "negative" that so many naysayers want to attribute to them. It makes sense to me ......why would she have reported results from HIGH GRADE INTERCEPT assays that are being re-assayed. Very intriguing in the least. If only I could know of the absolute truth and nothing but the truth.

Re: Some thoughts on strategy

I have come to accept the fact that anything is possible when it comes to interpreting the "whys" and the "what ifs" when it comes to this company, and that includes the Quantec team and results.

For instance, one can easily look at the Quantec guy being sent down to the site as a very good sign as well. Or it simply may be nothing more than "proper protocol" and/or an effort to ensure that nothing is missed, particularly with this much on the line, and I sense that those are most likely the reasons. Lets face it .......with any good football team there is a group of coaches to "call the plays" and formations contributing significantly to their overall success, even though all of the players already know the playbook and the captains of the team are more than capable of calling plays on both offense and defense. And like any good orthopedic surgeon there is an expert who represents the company that makes the prosthetic knees and hips who is present in the operating room while the surgeon does the actual joint replacement operation, for each person's expertise COMPLEMENTS and STRENGTHENS the expertise and success of the other. Also with any road project there is a manager to ensure that everything is done right even though the team already understands the laid out plans. BUT new discoveries and/or compounding variables never cease to crop up during any major project, and as such the third parties expertise is valuable to have on board. With Quantec having a lot on the line I sense that they want to be down there to optimize the odds for success as much as anyone else. No matter what the field results are from drilling and trenching. Perhaps Quantec itself insisted on having somebody down there themselves!!! In reality we just don't know, and all we can do is speculate. And anyone can speculate in either direction!!

Personally I am most eager to see the trenching results. (I understand that they are better than expected. Furthermore Lori seemed quite excited about some new faults recently discovered.) I truly sense that the drill results did no justice whatsoever for the potential of this property. The known bulk vein samples were much higher in gold content than the veins that the drillbit encountered, which makes me wonder if the small 2 inch drillbit misses a significant amount of the "nugget effect", which was brought up in the release. The disparity is just too great in my opinion to be just coincidental. In the least there is a reason why Lori's results stated that they are not representative of the entire property.

Like others have hinted before, with the new directors hired Lori is not assembling a team to stand around and give orders to each other and/or to butt heads against each other, but rather to maximize success as her projects proceed forward. Let it be know that such success always starts with people putting their experienced minds together and by working together. The market seemed to have recognized this development in SLI from the news release and their approval undoubtedly at least played a part in why SLI rose significantly on Friday.

Murry says that "Everything is fine". One either takes his word for it or not. But in the meantime base your decisions on your own opinions.

Re: update

I agree. This is a "non-factor" in the big picture of things and certainly even moreso for anyone looking beyond even just one week. If anything it is an encouraging event. (But the bashers will want to use it as more fuel ......even if it is immaterial. Longs shouldn't fall for their B.S.

Re: Fort Knox

I agree ...there are too many novice "self proclaimed experts" trying to convince everyone that these results are horrible. True, they don't quite live up to some of the expectations for some or many, but in the big scheme of things they do confirm that there is a lot of gold to be found. They are a dam good start as far as I am concerned. But clearly there will not be any "get rich quick schemes" as there is a lot of work yet to be done ........longterm this play will only get better as the team of geologists hone in on where the gold is and perhaps even find its source. Still plenty of money to be made by investors with patience of a 1-2 year time horizon, JMHO, regardless of how volatile the ride proves to be.

Frankly it is the trenching results that ought to "turn some heads" in consideration of all of the rich bulk samples that we have already obtained in ADDITION to Lori's claim that we have already found an area of significant disseminated gold, along with another that is very promising. I'm sure we wouldn't be invited to China to dine in halls where only Presidents and worldly VIPs have gone before if we didn't have a significant amount of gold.

Don't lose the bigger picture fellow investors.

Re: Sell off continuing Monday?

I wholeheartedly concur Dilengoose. These tours are indeed starting to look more and more like nice, relaxing "get away" vacations at our shareholder expense. (In all fairness I exclude the China trip.) How beneficial can these tours be if they don't even have any results to show to their audiences???????????? Like many have said before, when you have some good drill and/or trenching results the world will already be your audience!! ........the tours will automatically COME TO YOU!! Show the world some results and let the results do the talking. Plain and simple.

SLI has a lot going for her: Tesoro, Vilcoro, Cueva, etc. Hence I'm not going anywhere. We know SLI has the gold. Just how much is the question. But for the life of me I can't figure out why after two years since the Quantec results came out I STILL REMAIN in THE DARK on just how well these signals correlate with existing gold ....and still without a true (solid) sense of whether the drills and trenching at Tesoro are getting great results or just fair results. Talk about extremely S.......................L.......................O..........................W progress!! I truly sense great results will arrive in the future (due to all of the circumstantial supporting evidence) ...provided I don't die of old age first ..............but ultimately until I can actually see them in black and white I can only dream them in red, blue, and yellow.

So meanwhile I continue on indefinitely with this intense roller coaster ride .........plenty of wild loops, turns, blind tunnels, and hair raising 180 degree turns........... who needs theme parks when you own SLI?

Bottom Line: Our wait could be a lot less unpleasant if we just had a "hint" of how things are coming along. Why must the shareholders be so much in the dark all of the time?
