In a contract the employer can also drop you in an instant. Is the higher wage worth that risk? My relatives in the UK are experiencing the harsh realities of the the UK IT economy at the moment. Very risky to leave a secure job in this climate. Most people would not do it and I believe the talent that will be of interest to EADS to fill these ADS positions will have to be recruited from other permanent positions at good companies. Those people would not leave their secure jobs for a 1 yr contract.
