"On reading excellent reviews, one takes a party of relatives and close friends to a restaurant, expecting not only an enjoyable evening, but the promise of superb food and wine.

However, some of the food is undercooked, some overcooked, and a bottle or three of the vintage claret has been corked. The rest of the meals and wines are excellent, as one had expected.

Does one pay the check, vowing never to go there again(sell the shares), or, does one bring the problems to the attention of the management so that the problems are less likely to occur again(self-explanatory)?"
As others have expressed, great analagy - except for one thing. "discussing" the bad things on Agora is not the same as complaining to management - far from it. In essence, it's complaining to the other customers around you, that are still eating. Pretty annoying if others did that to you in a restaurant, huh. If my meal tastes fine to me I don't need to hear the unpleasant dining experience of everyone else around me. They can take it up with management, not me. Which has been my point all along. If you truly believe something is wrong with management and something should be done, take it up with them, not whine and complain on a message board. That's the least efficient way to get your message across.
