Romper Room and the Magic Mirror
I’m sure that you are young enough to remember the TV show Romper Room. If you are, do you remember at the end of the show, the hostess would look through the “Magic Mirror” and recite the magic rhyme?
"Romper, bomper, stomper boo. Tell me, tell me, tell me, do. Magic mirror, tell me today. Have all my friends had fun at play?" She would then lead into, "I can see ***** and ******** and ***** and ***** and ******** and all of you boys and girls out there!" Kids were encouraged to mail in their names.
