Like so many things, there can be a thin line between.

spiny is smart enough to cut us some slack so long as he can see effort to adhear to the above. A "rant" is has a different tone, and some forums do allow it. Sinbob writes a great rant. Garick writes well and has conviction.

All I know is that once you get into ethnic stuff, left/conservative vs right/liberal, and foreign policy, the board becomes something else.
