Conn Smythe Sr returned unscathed from the trenches of Europe post WW1, went directly to the track with his militery backpay, hit a 220 to 1 longshot and parlayed that win in ownership of the Leafs and the Gardens!

With SAN most of the "railbirds" have realised at least as much as Conn's military back-pay. Maybe it's time to head for the yearling sales in Kentucky, sniff out a winner/longshot, and bet a newbe that'll put us in the winners circle with that 220/1 payday!

In the near term, a double from here for SAN will require an effort we've never seen from its trainer or management team! (Not that it won't happen, but the younger horses may offer the better bet!)

On that note I'm off to the track/casino (most racetracks now have a casino attached!) Something akin to the TSX, they have the Venture attached!
