This financing, and especially the way it was brought down, has injected a great deal of uncertainty into the Poet business plan and even Poet's viability. Some here have a rosy outlook, that the financing was necessary to bring to fruition some kind of explosive good news which will propel the stock upwards. Others worry about the viability of the Company, it's financial obligations, and it's ability to produce what it has so long touted as it's main driver of future income, the VCSEL.
Markets hate uncertainty. Was this financing just a small amateur mistake, or was it one of extreme desperation? ----- Only the insiders know. And the retail investor will be the last to figure it all out.
