Absolutely crzyhors. POET should be issuing news on key patents when they are issued and explain the relevance of the patent.
Consider the responses yesterday on “Quantum-dot image sensor revealed”. With some people thinking that it was in some way competition. Most people don't even know that POET has been working with quantum dots for several years and how they are used to produce the very high efficiency that POET is quoting for their optical conversion.
Maybe if POET would use the issuing of Patents as an opportunity to reach the masses in news releases the opportunity to explain the technology in bit sizes through news releases would make people understand what this technology offers.
How much does it cost to issue a news release? They aren't in stealth mode anymore as far as we know. Not issuing news releases when patents are issued is a missed opportunity for cheap PR!
