I was not able to find out what Ajit Manocha's salary at GF was, but I did find something that might put perspective on it (might not be an appropriate comparison but points to big money IMO). The replacement CEO at GF, Sanjay Jha, had the following compensation at Motorola in 2009.

Base Salary = $905,769
Cash Bonus = $836,931
Stock Granted = $2,356,136
Options Granted = $4,004,000
Other = $359,708

So total compensation for Jha in 2009 was $8,462,544. Not sure what he was getting recently etc., but I think this gets the point across and I am tired of looking any further.

As I said, this may not be a good comparison, however the salary alone would lead me to believe that Jha does not come cheap, so I would think that he would not be cheap at GF either, and likely either was Ajit Manocha, whom he replaced.

So, I think it speaks volumes that Ajit Manocha signed up at POET for ~ $500,000 salary, must be expecting a lot more from his options and the potential of POET, certainly he must believe that there is only one POET (IMO) and that it will succeed. I suspect he knows what he is getting involved with.

Let's get more GREEN tomorrow (and beyond), GLTA!!
