Pailman you are referencing an April 19 NR....but NOT the August 24 NR.
from the NR April 19...
While several geophysical anomalies were identified in the project areas, none have been classified as “massive-sulfide” targets. Noront remains disciplined in its exploration approach and will focus drilling budgets on those targets with the greatest chance of intersecting massive sulfide mineralization as at Eagle’s Nest.
then in an NR August 24, 2016..
Noront is currently exploring for nickel-copper-platinum-palladium deposits along strike from its Eagle’s Nest deposit. A number of prospective geophysical targets have been generated and drilling on one of the most compelling anomalies has begun.
The Company is drilling a geophysical anomaly identified at depth, which could represent a significant sulphide conductor. The anomaly is proximal to the Eagle’s Nest deposit at a depth of approximately 750 meters. Modelling indicates the cause of this anomaly could be a conductive body with a strike length of 800 meters, depth extent of 500 meters and a thickness of 50 meters.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When you put the two NR's together..you get the understanding..they will not drill unless they believe they are looking at a massive sulphide....
from the August NR..they believe have areas of massive sulfides and are drilling the most compelling one first which is close to the eagles nest at a depth of 750m.
