There are those who have shares that they paid dollars for years ago and then those that relatively recently paid pennies for the stock. Totally different strategies for the two and expectations.

And that is a problem. An investor shouldn't base a sound investing strategy on past mistakes. That's like betting $1000 on red in roulette because it has been black for the past seven rolls, and it's "time" for red.
