Babjack, what do you make of CIA?  Is it their former Cliff's project at Bloom Lake that is driving all the speculation?  If so, how might that fit into the bigger picture with respect to stainless steel, iron, etc. in Ontario?  Do you think that project might have a place in a new Ontario steel industry that could affect Noront?

Re: Matawa Announces Connect to Innovate

Good PR spin there, with "reporting on funding" at the front of the list.

Ring of Fire mentioned on Aljazeera

Also discusses such things as drug addication in the communities, and trying to build a future workforce for the RoF.

I recommend making some popcorn.  The video accompanying the story is 47 minutes long.

Re: at5

Paliman, thanks for your comments.  Your previous three posts were flagged automatically by Agoracom because of a profane word that was caught in the filters.  I can see them, but many readers cannot.  Here's what you tried to post, fixed so everyone can see:

I think and this is me , it is a nice way of saying , SHOOT we miss the sulfides but now we used it as a deeper lookout hole and we see that there might be and it looks like it massive sulfides to the south. because for them to get a good look they would have to be out of the conductor, hence below with a deeper hole in the host rock. Now they can look around with out magnetic interference from the conductor above. Now that anomaly to the south tells me that the deeper conductor is there that has been fooling them. And that goes very well for me that the convergence of sulfides deep at Eagles Nest goes north east ish towards AT5 too not just south. We still do not know what elephant ore body is down there at 2000 m but to me it looks bigger al the time. In my opinnion by the time they tell the story of the ring of fire it will be the minning story of the century

Re: Drill results...Paliman

Here is a link to the news release that Paliman refers to, of September 29th, 2016:

https://ceo.ca/@marketwired/noront-provides-update-on-ring-of-fire-development-exploration-and-closes-private-placement

I had not noticed that, or if I did at the time, I don't remember, because that one is currently omitted from the Noront website:

I find it very odd that they haven't updated that in the News section of the website so far.  They're usually quite quick about that stuff:

Re: FSDI results by end of year....

There may be two notable things which would run counter to the logic of desire for road access to the communities:

1.  Degradation of their unique culture if their isolation is destroyed.

2.  Decreases in their payments from government, which are lower for communities that are connected by road.

It's even possible that some band governments might fear an erosion of their power and control if the communities are opened up to the rest of the world.
