How dare that provincial munchkin try to take glory,any glory, for anything that is now or will be happening in the ROF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For four years him and his boss Wynne (wicked witch of the west) have done nothing but give platitudes and lipservice to the venture companies who established the ROF (almost seems like a movie The Wizard of Oz)
It seems that they did try a backroom deal with Cliffs ...it also failed??
The two of them have been "waiting???" on the DeLoitte Report for the past 2 years ,a report that was paid for by the taxpayers of Ontario!
They then setup a commitee of three public servants soley for the purpose of the controlling the ROF..or IMHO "don't blame us (Gravel & his partner No-wynne) ..we now have a commitee looking after that"
The winter road permits were delayed so long that by the time to put in the roads it was too late, as you know these winter roads have been used for decades and the travelling routes have basically stayed the same area in this time frame!...there was no excuse for the delaying of these permits....except for beaurocracy...none..nil...nada.
The above delay for permits has put Noront behind schedule by between 6 months to a year....for shame!!!
Then No-wynne has her budget and says her munchkin has 1 billion dollars to spend on infrastrucure for the ROF only if the Feds match it, then 2 month recants her stipulation and says sorry I was wrong a billion with no strings attached.....the feds then say basically blow it out your dress...we want to see where our billion will go and what wil be spent on what (a plan)
To save face the province devise a plan ..along with the feds to again delay the ROF " we're going to have another study, this time by the FN's'"
Pardon my english but if it wasn't for the guts ,shutzpah and cajones of small independant companies like Noront,Bold,KWG and others this country would be in a heap of trouble!!!
To sum up the munchkin's next " political assignment" should be to sanitize al the go huts to be used in the ROF..then, and only then, can he be glorified as having anything to do with the ROF.
