Now do they own the lands. We know they didn't live there when the land was covered with ice, so there goesthe time eternal belief, and they came into the area to trap for the people from Europe, They didn't live there before that as they had plenty of game and places that were not frozen 8 months a year. They had to walk everywhere so distance was a problem. I wonder if that is why the FNs get a lot of disrespect when they start claiming lands north of lake superior. Maybe if the courts start looking at history of the land from archeology views and scientific reality the decision to work with all Canadians who have been around for hundreds of years ion the same lands will be realized without such a feather fluffing from one group who decided to live away from the rest of the NATION OF CANADA.
