Once this person is in place I can see the Govt being in a postion to catch up to the industry & the FN vis a vis the issues in the ROF. Now we have the environmentalists (NO) looking at the ROF as a way to generate donations to keep their dreams alive and to protect the Boreal.

• develop the strategic vision and framework to facilitate successful development of the Ring of Fire initiative
• contribute to the province`s Open Ontario Plan by promoting economic opportunities for northern Ontario and aboriginal communities
• partner with other ministries to develop creative solutions that meet the interests of northern Ontarians, aboriginal communities and the mining industry while achieving government business objectives

• Familiar with minerals sector, value-added processing, and/or infrastructure development
Frequent travel in northern Ontario is required
