High-grade Ni-Cu-Pt-Pd-Au-Ag-Rh-Cr-V discoveries in the "Ring of Fire" NI 43-101 Update (March 2011): 11.0 Mt @ 1.78% Ni, 0.98% Cu, 0.99 gpt Pt and 3.41 gpt Pd and 0.20 gpt Au (M&I) / 9.0 Mt @ 1.10% Ni, 1.14% Cu, 1.16 gpt Pt and 3.49 gpt Pd and 0.30 gpt Au (Inf.)

Am curious why there is little discussion comparing Duluth Complex to the Ring of Fire. The Duluth Complex in northern MN is considered the 3rd largest copper-nickel development in the world after Sudbury. Norilsk, Polymet (t.pom), Franconia Minerals (t.fra), and Duluth Metals (t.dm) have everything the Ring of Fire has, plus cobalt, but no chromite.Additionally, the infrastructure is already in place.Try Stockhouse for an active discussion board and detailed information regarding the above.

Hi Geeses,

I went on their website and those grades would not allow me to agree with the statement "has everything the Ring of Fire has." I don't see world class grades here like we have seen in the ROF..and we are just in the early stages of drilling the ROF...much more to explore.

Duluth Metals principal asset is the Nokomis Deposit situated within approximately 3,000 acres of the Nokomis Properties. Duluth Metals has recieved a new NI 43-101 compliant Resource Estimate for the Nokomis Deposit which consists of 550 million tonnes of Indicated Resources grading 0.639% copper, 0.200% nickel, 0.660 grams per tonne TPM (TPM = Pt + Pd + Au) for a copper equivalent (CuEq) grade of 1.51%, plus an additional 274 million tonnes of Inferred Resources grading 0.632% copper, 0.207% nickel, 0.685 grams per tonne TPM for a CuEq grade of 1.53%
