Agreed HOOV.
In Sudbury the nickel concentrate is separated out in the milling process. This is standard procedure. The copper concentrate is the next to be removed and the remainder goes into a precious metals circuit...some in Sudbury & some elsewhere like Port Colborne.
The suggestion here seems to be that somehow you lose some of the precious metals in the process of separatiing out the nickel.
I am not a metalurgist by profession, however it comes as a surprise to me that any of the precious metals are lost in the milling process.
I will go out on a limb and say that any loss is insignificant.
I'm sure that there are people on this board that have a background in metalurgy that can comment further.
I have not yet studied todays release but at a quick glance I see only blue sky for Noront.
Some have expressed concern that the grades are not in excess of 5%. May I remind you that Voisey's Bay has an average grade of only 1.6%.
First glance at these intercepts and grades looks very impressive to me. If there was any doubt about the future of the RoF, most of the doubt must now be removed.
True we still only have one dimension on the second & third lenses. However with what lies above it doesn't take a lot of imagination to see what we have here.
If the information that Glorieux has reported here tonight is factual, $20 sp is easily attainable.
