You make some very good points from your perspective, but there are others. True... there is no point in complaining about manipulation. Being aware of it's consequences is another story, particularly if you didn't buy in until later when you may have paid $4 plus as many folks did. Selling for $5 would certainly be a loss in many cases and a $5 sell is a very real possibility as many have sold companies for less with great value in the ground. Remember that not everyone is under the same circumstances and it may have been well had many cleared out with a smaller loss a long time ago. Time will tell. There is absolutely no guarantee of anything in terms of final gains/losses regardless of what is in the ground. Nature is more reliable than man.
