Chalk this one up to what happens when desperate people want out of a stock, in this case Noront, where the luster is of both the stock and the market segment it is in.

We've all noted for sometime that there just were not motivated buyers out there to support our share price. So we've seen a great distortion between buyer/seller for months. This alone would cause meltdown in share price. Today you've seen what happens when somebody big calls it quits when no willing buyers are available.

Deer caught in the headlights indeed!

Noront now has to weather the proxy fight and prove to investors they have a solid business plan to fight through until interest returns to mining sector. That's not going to be next week even with great drill results.

Best we can hope for until after Annual Meeting is that whoever bailed out today emptied their pockets of shares and we see some light volume until positive exploration results come out.

I might even start doing pushups.
