My broker charges a good bit (Discount Broker actually), but all trades no matter how large, relating to one stock are only charged commission once based on the increase in size of the overall order.

ie 1000 shares = 28.00

2000 shares - 50.00

So if I did two trades in one day of say 500 and 1500 then I would only be charged a total brokerage fee for the day of 50.00 (2000 share price per day).
