I bought some shares on Friday thru a broker. Most of my money is RRSP but have gone out and put more money into this great company of ours. What was weird is the trader that my broker deals with (National bank) took my order and did it as an iceberg bid. I did not ask for this. What is the reason for this? My broker says that the trader does it how best he sees fit. To me that seems a little crooked. My order was for 10k shares. He did it as 4k, 4k and 2k. My order of course got filled and I guess that is the most important but from a company stand point, when people see a 10k share bid, it is a little more impressive and may support the company. Anyways, I would appreciate any thoughts on this. Cheers.
