I think this is the shortsighted actions of one house based soley on low commodities prices. They didn't seem to take into account that Teck has no immediate need to borrow money, has about 6.5 billion dollars and has reported positive cash flow from all their operations. Go figure...

I don't think this has any negative effect on Schaft Creek. Buying and/or developing new projects is a must for Teck if they want to stay in business. If you don't own it, you can't mine it and you better have something in the works before the mine you are working now runs out.
