I agree with the above general premise. Yes there are other means by which one can control wealth. Guns are know to work quite well, as do some other less combative means.

You are paying taxes on profits you made on a purchase and sale of the company's stock. The security may entitle you to vote at the ASM. It may entitle you to a dividend, etc.....But unless the piece of paper says you own a specific amount of the company, it is the security and the rights associated with it that you own, not the company.

All IMHO. And I'm open to listening to other opinions.
