Facebook and phone maker INQ Mobile today unveiled two smartphones that are deeply tied to Facebook, aiming to target consumers with a host of social networking options.
The London-based company said new "Cloud" line of Android phones, which come in two flavors -- one with a keyboard and another with a pure touch screen -- will be featured at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week.
They offer close integration with Facebook, allowing users to access the site's more advanced functions, such as viewing news feeds with images and video, chatting on the page and posting location-based check-ins.
INQ Mobile said both the "Cloud Touch" and "Cloud Q" will go on sale in the U.K. in April and in the U.S. later this year.
"We want to do for the Facebook generation what BlackBerry did for the enterprise market,” said Frank Meehan, INQ Mobile's chief executive. "For someone under 30 this is the stuff you want to see all the time."
