Good info Daboss, i have not posted since 2000 but felt after seeing the news of the settlement i wanted to make the coment that markman has a potential of costing huge amounts of money and time to both parties and unseen potential delays. I believe the plan from DM and edig was to use the first round of infringers to load up on money, enough for edig to sustain itself for a real big law suit with a much bigger fish that might take a very long time to see all the way thru a markman, in the present climate of the economy companys need money in the bank to survive this reccession, and this last settlement with samsung might be more than all the total dollars recieved from settlements to date, we have seeing in round 1. Edig must be prepared with enough money in the bank to carry itself for posssibly 1-2 years once down the road of markman, in my view that is what round 1 will achieve we will have wait and see in sept. what samsung settled for. I feel that round 2 will contain the markman big fish that will be forced to path, while continue to load their bank account with those willing to settle in round 2 allowing them to remain a going concern for the long drawn out battle.
