Go ahead, delete my post for its title. But its title is justified. I'm sitting here reading how people should sell if they are not in it for the long haul as if they could sell if they tried! This morning I noticed the stock down 2.5 cents on 400,000 share volume. That's roughly a 20% haircut on a $50,000 sale. Maybe your kid can sell if he owns 10,000 shares, but not if you own the median of what I've seen on surveys on this board.
Selling for near zero as if the stock will go to zero is a no-win panic reaction. Panic begets panic. The play here is to sidestep panic and just don't look at TDC for a while. A company with no debt and 800K oz reserves may not stay independent for long but it will not go to zero. However, some IQs might be headed there.
