I guess I am nieve at this,but with the lock-ups that Cliffs has I do not see the point you are making. WE either DO OR DO NOT SURRENDER OUR SHARES to our brokers. That gives us the only options . Lets say we do not surrender and Cliffs still gets their 50.1 %,are they then compelled to buy all shares that have been issued ? What are the ramifications,if any,of just not surrendering and hoping that they do not get the 50.1 %.

If there is strong consensus in not surrendering our shares,then lets get the word out to not surrender.
