Evan...thanks for your insight into the communication software being used by management. I'm not very saavy with computer software in general and I'm not familiar with VNC either, so any input helps.
I do have some experience with wireless communication, I'm a ham radio operator. I like antenna and propagation theory, so I'm curious about the type of antenna system SFMI is going to install to communicate between Sinker tunnel and the mill. The article said that system was going be on a microwave frequecy, which will be line of sight propagation....in other words, both antennas have to able to see each other, no rocks or dirt between the 2 antennas. Yet, they could run the system thru a repeater located in a higher or more advantagous spot to ensure a strong signal between the 2 stations. However it's done, it shouldn't be too difficult or expensive.
I hope management stays on top of all possible security issues...the smelter building and vault look very secure but the cyber world is another subject.
