October 31 is the debenture date so there may be some funny business going on until then. Not to mention every reputable wonk with anything decent to say about gold and the macro situation is saying strength in the US$ short term which could be bearish for gold and proxies to gold.

October is generally an extremely volatile month and equities could be due for a correction which leads me to wonder why SGR would release anything positive as market forces which are out of their control may have a bigger impact on SP than drill results.

Management is smart and so are the bankers, if the environment is favourable SP appreciation will happen, otherwise a few more months of accumulation is their worst case scenario given their obvious affinity to SGR. Also, IR will say anything to keep you from selling, so whatever comes from that office is about the same as betting on red or black - less than 50%.
