the only way to avoid the shorter to use your share is having at home a share certificate.
for a long or a 70dollar club I guess there is no problem to do that. takes approx 10 days to deposit the share certificate to the bank.
until they are sitting on the bank there is nothing you can do, why? because you sign a disclosure agreement with the bank and you authorized the bank to land YOUR share.
even put a share to sell, the lender will give a call to the borrower to cover the position only if your share has been sold. if not they are going to play this game over and over.
I am really thinking to get a share certificate for at least half of my holdings!!!!!!that are big!!
