Who said they were able to put their shares up for sale at $25? I tried but Credential wouldn't let me. Had to settle for $7.50. They also told me that unless shares are purchased on margin, they are not available to be shorted. Is this correct for all brokerages? He seemed to think I was nuts suggesting that brokerages themselves engage in manipulation. Went into his spiel that they are just processing customer orders. I don't understand the difference b/w market makers and brokerages and felt I was being fed the "party line" that brokerages never attempt to influence price for their own purposes to which I said I wasn't born yesterday.
Not sure how the game works but it would be nice if the 220K ish shares I "protected" would now cause some short to have to cover as these shares are no longer available.
