ok, I'll bite. Here's the short answer.
If you go back through the last several years of posts, both here and at $hithouse, there has been a great debate over over buyout vs. licencing.
It seems as though POET (PTK) has decided licencing is the long term answer, which I, and many here, agree to.
That does not preclude the possibilty of an offer coming forth that is undeniable, but the current management appears to be taking this all the way to completion, whatever that may be.
They're a lot of details that make this interesting, but the facts remain that is company is trying to be the next INTEL, and they certainly seem to be acquiring the personnel to take them there.
We know (or are pretty certain) they have the product.
