Well let's break this down. Back when P2 was orignally reported POET was still years away from completing MS8, which is the most recent accomplishment. Releasing P2 back then was not directed at industry types or other potential suitors, it was to gain some interest and support from the retail markets, because let's face it, we're suckers for this kind of story.
Fast forward several years, more MS accomplishments, the most recent being MS8, and now things become more interesting to the industry types, and potential suitors, including Agit M.
Now the focus has switched to the big boys and there is no need to focus on the retail markets as they will be taken care of if they do their job right with their negotiations and partnerships. In other words, P2 might be something worth more to POET as a private negotiation rather than a public rallying point.
