Why did Xstrada really move to Quebec? Is cheap Hydro enough?

Was it aging processes? Rising sulphur dioxide levels from processing? A Union workforce?

Ontario Government would not interfere with the companies decision. The city refused to supplement costs to keep the plant open.

Yes I agree 1 Billion is not for an individual company or plant. This money is for Infrustructure only.

Private compaines will fund and build their own processes.

But why is Timmins so interested in assisting now? I believe it was always a plan. It was hinted at in the past. On this and other forums in regards to Chromite. I believe Noront finding the Ring of Fire set this all in motion years ago.

Do we really understand the importance of a 60 Billion dollar find of Ore?
