Because I was ticked by the lack of action and the bid/ask spread, I timed a 2 lot buy at the 0.47 ask right in the last seconds of day. It got filled but did not effect either TSX.V (last trade still reads 2.52 pm), nor Alpha board. So I didn't get the day end impact I wanted, plus I lost a penny and half in value because the trade did not record through an exchange. I guess CIBC had a few shares on hand to cover my play. Could they be auto shorting my NOT holding and selling me back my own shares? Ouch, now I really feel like looser, but on the plus side I own a few more shares that have a big bright future.
