i was assuming that part was/is a ploy by wes.(i know , don't assume because..)

i think/hope the gov't is salivating over the area and the votes it will receive when they make announcements concluding deals with aboriginals and road plans.

by understating its potential or by stating the difficulty of the situation, he's simply making the area more attractive BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW WHAT'S REALLY THERE!!! and so do they. and they want to be a part of it.

at least that's my half glass full of wiser's.
