Tau-

Comparing the TSX to the TSX-V is (arguably) akin to comparing the NYSE to the NASDAQ. Companies that have just "gone public" typically go on the NASDAQ and not to the NYSE; the established companies whose stock price times its average volume merits getting on the bigger exchange. There has been a fair amount of discussion on this boards of the merits of Noront moving to the TSX, particularly around the time of the proxy battle. One main advantage is increased regulation and scrutiny by the OSC (I hear they actually exist?!?).

How would you characterize "us average investors"? I think that the investor in Noront is almost by definition anything *but* an "average investor" (whatever that means): this is a speculative play that the "average investor" would never hear about; it's way too far under most "screens". But that's one thing that moving to the TSX would definitely help to remedy.
