I've been following the bioleach technology over the last while. I'm quite interested in the Bactech negotiations with Temex over the Gowganda tailings recover project. It would simultaneously clean up a toxic waste site (arsenic), and produce high value metals.

Yes, there is no reason why this technology might not be adapted to the RoF district. Seasonal roads, and stable power supply would be the key infrastructure investments. Electrowinning (the reverse of electroplating) would produce nearly pure metals requiring no further refining.
