Hey Manic....I've been contemplating the same move as you regarding placing stocks into TFSA. I called CIBC to find out if I could trade stocks in a TFSA just like my trading accounts.( I have 2 CIBC Investors EDGE accounts). They didn't know as the TFSA is NOT set-up, but will be functioning at some point in 2009. Just great....I pointed out that their own website stated 'as of Jan 2, 2009'....NOT!!!

They are apologetic.

So.....what bank IS going to be ready....and.....will I be able to trade stocks within that account?

I think the TFSA is a GREAT way to go...especially if one can trade within that account.
